Configuring your email client; Microsoft Outlook 2007

1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2007

2. Click Tools > Account Settings

3. Select E-mail tab and click New...

4. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP and click Next

5. On the Auto Account Setup, check the Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click Next



6. Select Internet E-mail option and click Next

7. Fill in the following fields:

  1. Enter Your Name as you want it to appear.
  2. Enter your full email address username@yourdomain.com in the Email address: field.
  3. Select POP3 or IMAP.
  4. Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the Incoming mail (POP3, IMAP) server:
  5. Enter mail.yourdomain.com in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server:
  6. Enter your e-mail address into the User Name field using a + sign in place of the @ symbol. (eg. username+yourdomain.com)
  7. Enter your Email Password.

8. Click on more settings.

  1. Under Outgoing Server tab > check mark "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication > ensure that 'Use same settings as my incoming mail server option is selected.
  2. Under Advanced tab > change "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port to 26.
  3. Click 'Okay' to apply and close out of 'Internet E-mail Settings'.

 

9. Click Next.

If all of your information has been entered correctly, you will receive the Congratulations message below.
